Why do so many of Singletons images contain women wearing or holding peace sign necklaces?
- Singleton's artwork reflects the world around her... the world that gave birth to Just Give Me Peace, the world of the hippie parade, the world of Sing and Skinny... the world in which women hold peace, like love, very close to their hearts.

Why is Singleton called an Outsider Hippie Artist?
- Singleton is an untrained artist who has used her artistic expressions for over twenty years to barter for braces, ballet and baseball. Ten years before that she bartered her artwork for bar tabs and doctor bills. The children are grown and now Singleton finds herself drawing, painting, creating what she likes, feels, thinks and knows about... peace & love. May the Circle Remain Unbroken.
-
Her works are not prescribed by any set standard style or method, such as impressionism, cubism, contemporary etc. Her works come from inside of her and from outside the norm. Not only does her artwork often represent peace, love & sometimes psychedelic recall, but Singleton herself is reflected in her current works. She remembers the bra-burning days quite well... which may explain why so many of her women, angels, fairies and Mermaids remain without tops.
- Really, folks, she's just a hippie from the good ole days... doing her thing for the love of it. It gives her peace. May the Circle Remain Unbroken.
